Shipment Support » We ship virtually to any address in the world. We adhere to a policy of ‘No Profit – No Loss’ principle for our shipping costs which means that you will be charged the same amount what we incur while shipping the consignment. The shipping cost is applicable only for those countries or regions where we are NOT providing FREE shipping. And we do not charge anything for the water-proof, tamper-proof packaging that we do for all our consignments. FREE Shipping destinations We offer FREE shipping to US, Canada, UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand through FedEx from Mumbai, India. For any other countries or regions we may charge a nominal amount for shipping. Shipping & Delivery Time International delivery usually takes between 3 and 5 business days through FedEx from Mumbai, India, depending on the destination and logistical restrictions. This is after we receive your confirmed order and/or payment. However the shipping time does not take into account any delays arising due to Custom delays or other such similar reasons whether in India or the country of import. We do not take any responsibility due to such delays under any circumstances. Shipping Partner All our shipments are sent only through FedEx as they are the world’s premier logistics carriers having an extensive network worldwide. Insurance All consignments are insured during transit until the time of actual delivery. Lost consignments are eligible for a full claim of the Invoice value from the Insurance Company and/or FedEx. Our company only plays a role of a facilitator of the refund amount in such an eventuality without taking any liability whatsoever.
United States of America All deliveries to the US are charged a Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) of US$25.00 by the US Customs Service. In addition, couriers usually add US$5.00 for advancing any duty that may be applied. This fee may or may not be revised and we assume no responsibility regarding the actual charges at the time of delivery. Please note that you would have to make the payment for MPF and the courier’s advance duty fee. Duty/taxes and FedEx charges, if and when applicable, are sent to the customer in the form of a bill sometime after the consignment has been delivered. Please note that FedEx will handle all customs clearance and related procedures. European Union Customers are required to pay VAT when their rugs enter their country of residence (FedEx will pay VAT for customers and send them a bill on or sometime after delivery). In addition, duty may apply when rugs are processed for customs clearance and varies from country to country. However, many customers are not charged duty, as the rugs are for personal use. For all other EU countries, please contact your local customs authority. United Kingdom Customers are required to pay VAT, currently at 17.5% for handmade rugs, when their rugs enter the United Kingdom. In addition, duty may apply when rugs are processed for customs clearance. This can range between 0 to 8% of the purchase price. All other countries or regions For duty/tax information for other countries and regions, please contact your local customs office. Special Provisions Please note that Customs duties or any such equivalent taxes, if applicable in your country would be payable by you even though these do get reduced due to the special provisions hand-made, hand-knotted carpets and rugs from India get from various countries/regions, including Canada, Europe, Americas, Australia and New Zealand – this list is not exhaustive. All our shipments are accompanied with various such documents, like the GSP (Generalized System of Preferences) if applicable in your country, certified by the Government of India in order to subsidize these import charges.
Free shipping offer is not applicable on orders for custom made carpets, rugs and dhurries – be it a single order or multiple consignments. It is also not applicable on strike-offs, samples, yarns or color poms sent for approval or reference for the same purpose. Free shipping offer is also not applicable on order(s) of shawls, stoles or scarves and for any quantity. Please note free shipping is strictly a conditional offer and maybe withdrawn at any point in time without giving any reason, clarification or timeline. This offer cannot be clubbed with any other offer(s) going on during any promotional activity including sales or discount offers. Free shipping is strictly a goodwill offer and is not to be construed as the company’s liability. Additionally, please note that free shipping is not applicable for any purchases done from our showroom (offline) in Mumbai for any product(s) and for any quantity of our products including carpets, rugs and dhurries. Please note that we are not responsible for any import charges such as Customs duties or any such equivalent taxes applicable in your country. It is entirely the buyer’s responsibility to pay all applicable charges while importing our products in your country. In the case of a dispute such as non-payable of import duties/taxes or any other event, the consignment may be sent back to us in Mumbai, India by FedEx. No refunds (full or partial) will be entertained by our company in case of such an eventuality. Reshipment of consignments will be done at a significant cost to you with an additional charge for shipping the consignment to us in India along with clearance fees, duties, etc. as applicable in Mumbai, India. We are not responsible for any delays in the delivery of the consignments for acts or incidents beyond our control. It is ultimately the responsibility of FedEx to ensure timely and safe delivery of the consignment.
